We’re excited to announce that the RCMP ‘E’ Division Headquarters site has been announced as a winner of ISSA’s Environmental Stewardship Award
This BOMA Best Platinum certified site has once again been recognized for their achievements in promoting sustainability through our service delivery activities. The team at the RCMP ‘E’ Division Headquarters site has consistently championed sustainable FM practices, and has been BOMA Best certified since 2014, initially achieving Gold and, in 2017, was upgraded to Platinum. To achieve this, our site teams have worked hard to implement a number of sustainable building practices, including:
- Certification to ISO 14001 for Environmental Management Systems
- Green Cleaning training for custodians
- Upgrading the air filtration system by replacing air filters with MERV 15 filters
- Increasing waste diversion, which reached an impressive rate of 88% waste diverted from landfill for the last 12 months (May 2022 to April 2023)
- Utilizing environmentally friendly chemicals and materials to perform cleaning and maintenance services
Our submission was scored on criteria including our ability to train, educate and implement environmental awareness amongst our staff, dedication to the overall cleanliness of the facility, excellence in health & safety, use of environmental products and chemicals and use of technology.
